VHP asks Hindus to increase population
NEW DELHI: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Wednesday asked Hindus to be virile and increase their numbers to counter the “unbridled” growth in the Muslim population.

after advani's disastrous trip to pakistan, too, it's rather ironic and funny to see how political streams are overlapping in issues other than kashmir.
Population(Hindu|Muslim) is not a problem in itself.(Atleast not yet)
Not being able to gainfully employ everybody is a problem. Look at china. As on today, the population is highest, that isn't preventing that country from making progress.
VHP is taken seriously by 0.000001% of Indian population.Every non idiot knows that VHP isn't going to raise their 3rd and 4th child. BJP on other hand used to be taken seriously by 30% of population and these days probably 20%.
Indian politics these days is dominated by economics, regional considerations, caste equations and such.
Migrants from Bangladesh, high brith rate among muslims threaten to become issues. But without right statistics and fair idea of implications, no serious action is possible. I guess Indians are tired to bother about such peripheral issues. These days not enough people care about Babri Masjid, Arrest of Kanchi Shankaracharya,...
In short, India doesn't care about VHP, Jinnah's secularism or increasing the birth rate of "majority" community.
