I hate breaking news. They make my blood go cold for a milisecond, and then the apathy starts to sink in. But when Geo TV announced
this news story as breaking news, I went quiet inside.
All five have the right to appeal their sentences. The final word will rest with Musharraf himself.
Thank you for confirming that Musharraf is now officially our God.
“I cannot say where the case was tried,” the military spokesman added. “They were tried under the relevant provisions of law.”
WHAT relevant provisions? WHERE were they tried? Musharraf seems to have learnt well from Ayub Khan, Z.A. Bhutto and Zia ul Haq. Why doesn't anyone ever ask what happens in Attock Fort and in the dungeons of the Lahore Fort?

For practical purposes, state has to keep few things secret. As for Musharaff being God, isn't that norm in most of nations?
If the place of trial and persons involved are revealed, the security and safety of concerned parties may be placed in danger.
Coming to provisions of law, I guess it will be sedition.
Even if somebody asks relevant questions, who is going to answer?
i must agree with the musharraf part.
i mean the law is above all of us. even the president.
the final word should not rest with musharraf, but with the judicial system.
the flaws and the corruption amongst that system is a debate for a different day.
Today, Naimatullah and 4 MQM's candidates have filled nominations for Nazim..... I don't know whether you are planning on posting anything on it, but why do you think would Naimatullah file, even though he has no chance whatsoever of winning... why not go out on the top??? Any views?
musharaff has screwed up everything today... he has lost everything... he doesnt know what he is doing... its not far when he might have an attack on his life sooner or later...
i hope someone gives sense on his head... he wants greater relations with USA, UK, European Union, India, China... but he doesnt see his own country is not functioning well... there r so many problems in Pakistan, he should solve them first and then try to do things outside the country...
